Privacy policy

1. Who we are

CIS Tech Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through www.cistech.co.uk. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 11621719. For anything to do with your data, email chris.byron@cistech.co.uk.

2. What we collect

When you send us an enquiry, we collect:

• your name and email address
• your company name and team size, if you give them
• what you tell us in your message

If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect information about how you use the site (see section 5).

3. How we use it

We use your enquiry details only to reply to you, discuss the work you’ve asked about, and follow up on any proposal you’ve requested. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry. Analytics data is processed only with your consent.

We don’t sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Who processes it for us

• Amazon Web Services processes contact form enquiries in its London region and delivers them to us by email (Amazon SES). The service’s logs are kept for 30 days.
• Amazon Web Services (CloudFront and S3) also hosts and delivers this website. Standard server logs may record your IP address and the pages you request.
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.

Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to a font provider.

5. Cookies and analytics

We don’t set any cookies unless you accept analytics. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits and see which pages are useful. They last up to two years.

Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, then delete them. Ask us and we’ll delete your data sooner.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the data we hold about you
• correct anything that’s wrong
• delete your data
• limit or stop how we use it
• give you your data in a format you can take elsewhere

To do any of these, email chris.byron@cistech.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
